Jane Ellen Benjamin

Jane Ellen Benjamin passed away Wednesday, May 30th at the age of 63 in Georgetown, Texas. She was born May 4, 1949 in Oakland, California to Merle and Mary Gray. Jane was a beloved, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to anyone that crossed her path. She was active in her church, had a passion for people and any animal that came her way.

Jane leaves behind her husband of 25 years, Michael Benjamin, her daughter Kelly Arnett and her husband, Damon Arnett and her three grandsons Nathaniel, William and Samuel; her nephew, Dennis Hughes; her niece, Mary Beedle and many other family and friends that loved her dearly.

Jane was preceded by both her parents; her sister, Jetta Beedle who was not only a sister, but like a mother and her very best friend; her half-brother, Ed Goodeill; and brother in-law, Earl Beedle.

Jane was a wonderful woman with a gift of making everyone that came into her life feel loved and like family. She found her salvation in Jesus Christ in April 2011 and grew in her faith with her new church family at Grace Bible Church in Georgetown, Texas. In the days following her passing her family found a recent post by her on the computer that made them smile and it was “I don’t know what I’m doing, but I’m having fun”! Jane we know what you are doing now and we are certain it’s more fun than you ever knew you could have.

A memorial service celebrating Jane’s life and her strong faith will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 4:00PM at Grace Bible Church, 302 Serenada Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628.

Donations can be made in her honor to The American Diabetes Association or Grace Bible Church.

Personal words of comfort may be sent to the family online at www.gabrielsfuneral.com.
